Mike Ahmar - Chairman
Mohamed "Mike" Ahmar is the president of Ahmar Investment Inc. a real estate development company. Mr. Ahmar founded ICG in 1985, a leading specialty distributor of desktop displays, A/V presentation products and digital imaging peripherals for the commercial and consumer technology markets.
In June 2006, ICG was acquired by Electrograph Systems Inc. a portfolio company of private equity firm Caxton-Iseman Capital, Inc. Mr. Ahmar spent 21 years building ICG from the ground up. As a result of his leadership, ICG has twice been listed as one of Inc. Magazine's 500 fastest growing companies in the US. ICG ranked 50 by the Los Angeles Business Journal List of L.A.'s 100 largest private companies (ranked by 2004 revenues).
Mr. Ahmar earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from Northrop University and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University. In 1999, Mike Ahmar and his wife Hania started the Ahmar Family Foundation, a non-profit organization created to serve and benefit charitable and educational purposes.
Robert M. Anderson
Mr. Anderson has been an California/Orange County resident for 21 years. His home for the past 20 years is located in Laguna Niguel. Mr. Anderson is a graduate of Augustana College with a B.A. degree in both Economics and Accounting. He holds a MBA degree from Harvard University. His professional experience includes commercial real estate investments/services and public accounting. Mr. Anderson was a licensed C.P.A.
Mr. Anderson is the currently the Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Birtcher Anderson, a major commercial real estate development and real estate management company operating in 22 states and with international operations in Asia. Mr. Anderson is a member of the Urban Land Institute and a Past Director of the Building Owners and Managers Association Advisory Board and is active in various community groups including Mission San Juan Capistrano, the Advisory Board of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange County and the Capistrano Valley Boys and Girls Club.
Mr. Beydoun is President of Crown Valley Imaging in Mission Viejo, CA. Residing in Laguna Niguel he is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Economics. He holds an MBA degree from the University of California, Irvine with an emphasis on Real Estate and Finance.
In 2011 Mr. Beydoun served Partners Bank as a business finance intern and in 2016 served as an observer to the Board of Directors. With a diverse background in international business finance, Mr. Beydoun brings to the Board at Partners extensive experience in product management, procurement, financial analysis, payroll, marketing and contract negotiation.
Dr. James Bredenkamp
Dr. Bredenkamp received his Medical Degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He then went on to complete a six year Residency in the Department of Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. Doctor Bredenkamp’s surgical training included two years of General Surgery and four years of Head and Neck specialty surgery. He also spent one year in basic research studying the immunology of cancer. Doctor Bredenkamp is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the author of over twenty scientific papers and has written five book chapters. Doctor Bredenkamp is a contributing author to MedicineNet.Com and chief editor of FocusOnHearing.Com. He has served as Chief of Surgery at Mission Children’s Hospital, Chief of Otolaryngology at Mission Hospital and Saddleback Hospital and the Medical Director of the Mission Ambulatory Surgicenter. Doctor Bredenkamp was recently selected as one of the “Best Doctors” in his specialty by Consumers’ Guide to Top Doctors. His professional interests include adult head and neck oncology, endocrine surgery, facial reconstruction and pediatric surgery/otolaryngology.
Dr. Vic Cachia
Dr. Cachia has been a resident of California for 35 years and initially moved to Orange County/San Juan Capistrano in 1971. He had a residence in Mission Viejo from 1987 to 1991 and now lives in neighboring San Juan Capistrano. Dr. Cachia's surgical podiatry practice has been headquartered in Mission Viejo since 1988. Dr. Cachia received his B.A. degree in Chemistry from California State University (Long Beach) and graduated from California College of Podiatric Medicine (San Francisco) with a B.S. in Medical Science and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.
Dr. Cachia, in addition to being a Podiatric Surgeon with offices in Mission Viejo and Irvine, is also the Co-Founder and Medical Director of Triage Medical, Inc., a medical device company located in Irvine. Dr. Cachia is a current Director of the Orange County Podiatric Medical Association where he has also served as President, Vice President and Treasurer. He is also a current Director and volunteer surgeon with Liga International, the Flying Doctors of Mercy.
Rick J. Mandelbaum is currently the President / CEO of Partners Bank of California. Mr. Mandelbaum came to Partners Bank as the Chief Credit Officer in November of 2012 as was promoted to President / CEO in June 2013. Prior to joining Partners Bank of California Mr. Mandelbaum was the Chief Credit Officer of South County Bank, N.A. Previously Mr. Mandelbaum was the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Landmark National Bank headquartered in San Diego. Mr. Mandelbaum joined that bank in organization in 2002 as EVP, COO and CCO and within a year was named a director of the bank and was appointed to the bank’s President/CEO in November 2004. Under his leadership, the bank was approved as a Preferred Lender with the SBA. He oversaw the completion of the merger of Legacy Bank into the bank and under his leadership the bank exceeded plan in growth and profitability. Prior to joining Landmark National Bank, Mr. Mandelbaum was Senior Vice President and Regional Administrator of Scripps Bank and later of US Bank, following the acquisition of Scripps by US Bank. While at Scripps Bank, Mr. Mandelbaum was a member of the Executive Committee and a voting member of the Director Loan Committee. His individual lending approval authority while at US Bank was $1 million, and he held commercial lending and deposit portfolio responsibilities. From 1987 to 1998, Mr. Mandelbaum was associated with Escondido National Bank/First Pacific National Bank. Escondido National Bank purchased R. J. Financial, Inc., a real estate mortgage company, which he had founded and managed to support the generation of real estate loans within the San Diego County community. After the sale of
R. J. Financial to Escondido National Bank, Mr. Mandelbaum was responsible for that bank’s real estate portfolio and managed problem real estate loans. He oversaw the origination, processing, underwriting and funding of real estate loans and activated a SBA lending department. Mr. Mandelbaum is a Past President of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego County. He is a past member of the board of directors for REINS (Riding Emphasizing Individual Needs and Strengths), an international organization devoted to Therapeutic horsemanship for the handicapped. He is a past member of the Housing and Community Development Advisory Committee for the County of San Diego.
Rodney L. McDermott
Mr. McDermott has been a Southern California resident for 17 years and an Orange County resident for 15 years. He has resided in Coto de Caza for the last 6 years. His professional experience includes Co-Founder and Managing Director of Orange County's largest retained executive search firm, McDermott & Bull, Inc. Mr. McDermott was employed in the banking industry for five years including as a Vice President, Lender and Business Development Officer. Mr. McDermott is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles with a B.A. degree in Economics/Business. Mr. McDermott is active in a number of local, community and professional organizations including as a current Board Member of Think Together, Membership Committee Member of New Majority, Past Board Member of Orange Coast Venture Group and Past Board Member of American Electronics Association. He is an active member of Temple Beth El.
Robert R. Redwitz - Vice Chairman
Mr. Redwitz has been a Southern California resident for 60 years and an Orange County resident for 57 years. He has resided in San Juan Capistrano for the last 30 years. Mr. Redwitz has been a Certified Public Accountant in Orange County since 1973 and has additional professional experience in real estate development, real estate transactional analysis, real estate sales, the escrow industry, general and subcontractor construction, management consulting, computer systems (hardware and software) and personal financial planning. In 1975, Mr. Redwitz formed his own CPA firm, Robert R. Redwitz & Company. In 1997, he formed The GDR Group which specializes in computer systems, software and hardware. In 2004, he formed Redwitz Wealth Management Group, a personal financial planning company. Mr. Redwitz is a graduate of University of Southern California with a B.S. degree in Accounting. Mr. Redwitz is a member of the Orange County Chapter of Legatus and was recently invested into The Knights of Malta. He is a member of various professional CPA organizations.
Dr. Hanna “John” Shammas
Dr. H. John Shammas is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. As sole owner and Medical Director of the Shammas Eye Medical Center and M/S Surgery Center in Lynwood, California which he founded in 1982, Dr. Shammas specializes in laser and small incision cataract surgery. A Member and Regular lecturer at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American and International Societies of Ophthalmic Ultrasound and the Outpatient Ophthalmic Society, Dr. Shammas has authored over 120 original articles published in various medical literature journals, and six books considered the leading textbooks on their subject. After completing his medical training at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA, Dr. Shammas moved to Los Angeles with his family where he still resides, and he has been a California resident since 1977. He is Co-Founder and Past Chairman of the Lebanese American Foundation, and he is involved in multiple charitable and educational organizations.
James C. Verbeerst
Mr. Verbeerst has been a California/Orange County resident for 26 years. For the last 7 years his home has been located in San Juan Capistrano. For the past 26 years he has been involved in general equipment leasing and for the past six years has specialized in providing financing to medical-related entities including hospitals and start-up medical specialty centers as the President and Principal at Variant Leasing Corporation (San Juan Capistrano). Mr. Verbeerst is a graduate of Wayne State University (Detroit) with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Mr. Verbeerst has been particularly active in the Equipment Leasing Association and, within the local community, as a volunteer in Indian Guides and Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of the Padre Junipero Serra Riders and is active in the Community Presbyterian Church
